Hey–

I'm Sunny: lawyer and musician.

I write for a living: memos, court briefs, contracts, letters, emails, notes, etc.

I also play several North-Indian (Punjabi) and Western instruments (click here if you're interested).

My goal is to walk alongside first-year attorneys while they catch their own rhythm, harmonizing all the complexities law involves with a sense of clarity and confidence.

Navigating the Terrain
Starting your legal journey can feel like stepping into a storm without a compass. As a lawyer with five years of experience, I’ve walked those uncertain paths and know the pitfalls. This space is your guide—practical insights paired with a touch of soul. Because law isn’t just a profession; it’s a rhythm, a melody you learn to play with time.

Services:

  1. Mentorship:
Small-group or one-on-one guidance tailored to your challenges.

  2. Workshops:
Topics like “Decoding Discovery” or “Tackling Your First Deposition with Confidence.”

  3. Resources:
Templates, tips, cheat sheets, and real-world advice you can actually use.

🔑 5 writing and argument keys:

  1. Be Purposeful -- take action with an end in mind or have it serve broader goals

  2. Be Pure -- not in a moral sense, but in the essence of what you say or do)

  3. Be Pithy -- they say short and sweet is the way to go. It's usually true.

  4. Be Persuasive -- this seems obvious but persuasion is art beyond intellect/argument

  5. Be Polished -- don't rehearse mechanically, but do know your stuff inside out.

A str8 forward approach to teaching you the things that most lawyers require several years to learn because the nature of this practice requires time.

Tailored content for diverse business needs and goals.

Music is the movement of sound through time.

Effective writing is the stringing of physical characters through space.

Your tools, your journey, your growth

Equip. Empower. Navigate your own way.

Learn the tools, forge your path.

I've been practicing law in California for 5 years.

I don’t believe in hand-holding, because the path is yours to walk alone. My goal is to equip you with the right tools, show you how they work, and let you discover your own way of using them. The struggles I faced—passing the bar the first go-around, starting during COVID WFH without guidance, and climbing without a foundation—aren’t unique. We all navigate the road alone. But having the right tools can make the terrain less daunting and the climb more meaningful.

Legal tools (i.e., chatGPT, google searches, discovery hacks, deposition outlines) only serve their purpose when the mind using them is clear, focused, and willing to explore independently.

Here's the law firm I'm with if you're interested (or need a lawyer..hopefully not).

Clarity arises when effort becomes effortless. True understanding comes from observing the process, not following rigid instructions.

Sunny scripted my firm's online content including its website and LinkedIn posts. His writing resonates with my audience and prompts questions, that way we consistently peak some curiosity from our current and future viewership.
